As most of us remember from our school days, or should I say daze, there were 5 elements essential to writing a good story.

Who is it about?
What happened?
Where did it take place?
When did it take place?
Why did it happen?
How did it happen?

But what do these rules have to do with this contest page?

Simply, to distinquish these contests from the Picture is Worth a Thousand Words Challenges.

The contests entered here will be based on challenges presented by fellow voyagers and/or yours truly.

'Brig', a new story Challenge by Stacy presented Dec. 21,2010

How this challenge works:

The story must contain the following 'scene' exactly:

Chip groaned and dropped his head. "Exactly how many people can fit into the brig," he muttered into his coffee mug.

"Depends, if they're alive or dead," replied Jamie cheerfully.

This challenge is slated to end on March 30.
