Re: Lee Crane’s Journal
I agree that your patient
is long overdue to vent! Ideally
someplace, somewhere away
from all the prying ears and eyes aboard your sub and at the institute.
I think your idea of a blog
for him is ideal. After all, with today’s technology safeguards in place, it
doesn’t have to be ‘visible’ to anyone. Not even to you if
you feel he might take it as an invasion of privacy.
However, no doubt, you’ll
want to point out that as his Chief Medical Officer it would be to his advantage to allow you access and that anything he
writes down or enters on his blog, would be in strictest confidence between
you both.
I know of a webhost you can
contact to get the spcecial security devises installed so Crane won’t have to do anything but click the correct page.
Get Crane to write about himself.
But more than that, he really needs to write about the interaction between himself and Nelson! Heavens, those two have enough
stress between them that if Freud were still around, he'd pay to have them as clients!
I hope all is well with you.
Let me know how it goes.

Re: Lee Crane’s Journal
Have just come from Crane’s
office, and my ears are still ringing. But he’ll do it. I kind of hinted that his continued status with the Navy Reserve
could be in jeopardy if he fails to accommodate his CMO in this matter. Nothing like the possibility of losing both Seaview
and ONI to make him tow the line.
I think he’ s more upset
about having to use the technology, than jot down his thoughts. Doesn’t matter that it’s an easier
method to record information, he doesn’t like the encroaching wave of the future.
He also thinks it’s
a gross injustice that he has to have a blog and Nelson doesn’t. But more
often than not, it’s Crane on the receiving end of hell warmed over.

Re: Lee Crane’s Journal
Perhaps you should have Nelson
keep a blog too. (Without letting Crane know about it). This way you’ll be able to get a better idea of the interaction,
even closed, between the two of them.

Re: Lee Crane’s Journal
Have considered your suggestion,
but for now, I think just Lee’s blog will be enough to help me delve more into his psyche.
Will keep you posted.
